Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game. Lonnie Chisenhall (Columbus, 3B) 1-3, 2 R, 1 HR, 2 RBI, HBP On Saturday evening, the Clippers were carried to a 4-3 win by former blue chippers Chisenhall and Matt LaPorta. Of course, with the home run came a strikeout by Chisenhall as his stay with Columbus will continue until he can build confidence and exorcise his demons (plate discipline). Hopefully the swing that had scouts raving for years returns and Chisenhall can become a legitimate major league starter. The Clippers home at Huntington Park, hitter-friendly as it is, will undoubtedly help him build confidence and perhaps make the changes that need to be made. Ryan Merritt (Lake County, SP) 7 IP, 2 ER, 7 K Merritt had his longest outing of the season and probably his most dominant to date. While I was not there in person it appears...
