Third baseman Brandon Inge was placed on the 15-day disabled list by the A's with a sprained right shoulder. Inge dislocated his shoulder during Saturday night's game, but stayed in and hit a go-ahead single in a 9-7 victory over the White Sox. Inge told USA Today that he has dislocated the shoulder "16, 17" times. He popped the shoulder back in Saturday and kept playing. Inge is batting .216 with 12 hom runs and 52 RBIs in 82 games. Infielder Josh Donaldson was recalled from Class AAA Sacramento, where he was hitting .335 with 13 home runs. This is his third stint with the A's this season. He has batted .153 with one home run in 28 hames, seeing time at third base and catcher.
