Oakland Athletics second baseman Scott Sizemore has undergone a second reconstructive surgery on his left knee as planned. The A's say Sizemore had a procedure to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus. The surgery, performed by Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla., was an ACL reconstruction using a patellar tendon graft, the team said. Sizemore is scheduled to return to the Bay Area on Saturday and begin rehab. He hurt the knee last Tuesday on the road against the Angels when hustling to shallow right field on a bloop single by Mike Trout that fell between Sizemore and Chris Young. The 28-year-old Sizemore was hurt 14 months ago during the first full-squad workout of spring training in 2012 and missed the season with the same injury.
