Houston Hotbed:
The Astros have dealt cash considerations / a player to be named later to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for utility-man Joe Inglett. A former Blue Jay, Inglett spent last season with the Milwaukee Brewers and led the MLB with 20 pinch-hits.
Fans should expect Inglett to serve as a left-handed bat off the bench for Houston in 2011.
When Jason Castro suffered his ACL injury, Houston Hotbed speculated that the Tampa Bay Rays could be a good fit as a trading partner for the Astros. However, the thinking was that a potential player acquired by Houston would be a catcher.
