The Houston Astros fired bench coach Joe Pettini, MLB.com reported Friday. The move does not come as a surprise since new manager Bo Porter wants to have his own coaching staff. Pettini also spent 10 years as Tony La Russa's bench coach with the St. Louis Cardinals. He came to Houston after LaRussa retired last year.
