Houston Astros closer Brandon Lyon will likely undergo surgery on his troublesome right biceps tendon.Lyon has been out of sorts for most of the season, posting a 3-3 record with four saves and an ugly 11.48 ERA in 13 1/3 innings. He last pitched Monday, allowing three runs in an inning of work. The 31-year-old is expected to undergo a procedure to fix the tendon. Because of the rareness of the surgery, it isn't known how long Lyon will be sidelined, or if he'll even be able to return this season.Mark Melancon is expected to take over full-time closer duties while Lyon is sidelined.
