The Houston Astros are considering changing the franchise's name as well as the uniforms, according to new owner Jim Crane.
Crane said the club will conduct a study to help determine whether a name change will be made. He added that a uniform switch is highly likely.
No changes will be made prior to the Astros moving to the American League in 2013.
Crane was approved as the Astros new owner in November after purchasing the team from Drayton McLane for $610 million.
