The Houston Astros have decided they want to keep lefthander Wandy Rodriguez.
The Colorado Rockies were willing to take on Rodriguez's salary, according to the Houston Chronicle, but were not as giddy about adding a prized prospect to the potential deal.
Colorado had claimed Rodriguez (9-9, 3.31 ERA) off waivers on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old Rodriguez will remain with the Astros for the rest of the season - and cannot be traded to the Rockies or any other club until the offseason.
