MLB News: In a move that went under the radar for the most part, the Atlanta Braves signed former San Diego Padres farmhand Erik Hamren to a minor league deal on Friday. In his only season of major league experience, Hamren went 1-0 in 12.1 innings pitched, striking out 10 and walking 9. Posting a 4.38 earned run average he is known for having a rather wild side.
Fantasy Ramifications: None. Look at this deal to provide organizational depth. Even if he gets the call to the majors sometime this season, he won’t be an effective fantasy player, even in the deepest of leagues.
