FF Locker Room:
The Atlanta Braves have signed right-handed pitcher Kameron Loe to a minor league contract. Reporting to Triple-A Gwinnett, Loe is formerly a member of the Chicago Cubs organization. He is projected as someone that will provide bullpen depth for the system.

The Atlanta Braves have activated infielder Paul Janish from the 15-day disabled list and have decided to option him to their Triple-A Gwinnett minor league affiliate. In other moves the Braves have released outfielder Jordan Parraz and pitcher Dusty Hughes while pitcher Kameron Loe has elected for free agency after clearing waivers, having been designated for assignment a few days...
Veteran Braves pitcher Tim Hudson has earned nearly 100 million in his 15-season career, but a significant portion of those earnings were recently sent back to Auburn -- the place he called home in college.
Hudson and his wife, Kim, who still make their home near the Auburn campus, donated 1 million to the Tigers' baseball program to upgrade the team's clubhouse. The generous...
Justin Uptons return Monday overshadows just about everything else going on between the Braves and the Diamondbacks as they prepare for a three-game series that opens Monday, the teams' only set at Chase Field this year.
Both teams are playing well as they are newly structured -- the Braves (21-16) are in first place in the NL East and the D-backs (21-17) are in second in the...
PHOENIX -- Kirk Gibson and Justin Upton used to run into each other before every Diamondbacks game. Literally run into each other. Bolo each other was what Gibson called it. Those who said the two did not get along did not see that.
Their meeting was less physical Monday, when Upton returned to Chase Field for the first time since the January seven-player trade that remade both...
Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez, looking to get more life into a line-up that has scored only three runs the past two games against the Giants, has shaken things up.
Here’s today’s batting order against the Giants:
1. RF: Jordan Schafer
2. SS: Ramiro Pena
3. C: Brian McCann
4. LF: Justin Upton
5. 1B: Freddie Freeman
6. 2B: Dan Uggla
7. CF: B.J. Upton
8. 3B: Juan Francisco
The Atlanta Braves plan to activate outfielder Jason Heyward from the disabled list on Monday before a series against the Diamondbacks begins.
Heyward began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday.
Thus far Heyward has failed to register a hit. On Saturday he was 0-for-3 and was hit by a pitch. He will make his final rehab appearance on Sunday.
Atlanta Braves outfielder B.J. Upton had to exit last night's contest against the Arizona Diamondbacks after being hit in the left shoulder by starting pitcher Wade Miley. The Braves are considering Upton day-to-day, and he told reporters after the game -- including Mark Bowman of MLB.com -- that he's likely to take Tuesday off to rest the sore shoulder.
Justin Upton had a huge night in his return to Arizona with the Atlanta Braves.
Making his first trip to Chase Field as a visiting player, Upton homered and had four hits in Atlanta's 10-1 victory over the Diamondbacks on Monday night.
Before the first pitch, he said his goal was to treat it like any other game. Turned out, it wasn't.
This three-game series against Arizona...
Heyward will probably come off the DL Friday for the Dodger series
Tomorrow Brandon Beachy will pitch two innings in extended spring training, and then make his first minor league start on Sunday for the AAA Gwinnett Braves. Hopefully Beachy’s rehab will progress without setback, as a healthy Brandon Beachy would be a huge shot in the arm for the Braves.
Before the game tonight...
Justin Upton put on quite a show in his return to Phoenix.
Upton snapped a 14-game homerless drought and had four hits to help the Braves snap a three-game losing streak.
''It was the Justin show,'' Braves third baseman Chris Johnson said with a smile.
Upton, the first overall pick by Arizona in the 2005 amateur draft, was playing his first game at Chase Field...
Justin Upton felt a little strange entering the visitors' clubhouse at Chase Field.
That didn't dampen his excitement about returning to the place where he spent the first six seasons of his big league career.
Upton returned to Arizona with Atlanta on Monday night for the first time since the Diamondbacks traded him to the Braves.
A two-time All-Star, Upton was one of...

Chapter two of the Zou Shiming era will begin when the two-time Olympic gold medalist and three-time Amateur World Champion returns to the ring and headlines an exciting card featuring two world championship fights – WBO/WBA flyweight champion Juan Estrada vs. Milan Melindo and IBF featherweight champion Evgeny Gradovich vs. Mauricio Muñoz – Saturday, July 27, at The Venetian®...
I am now in second to last place. Cue the choir of angels! “Beat with a Dan Uggla Stick” has a reason to play the fantasy music in their fantasy locker room a little bit louder this week.
Maybe I’m not the Houston Astros of the Fantasy Baseball world. I’m probably more of the New York Mets.
Pitching has been my weakness. Strasburg has lost the plate. Vogelsong has been a...
