The Braves will recall Jair Jurrjens to start on against the Red Sox on Friday. Jurrjens is 3-4 with a 5.27 ERA in nine starts at Triple-A Gwinnett. Freddie Freeman (finger) hopes to return to the lineup on Tuesday. Whos hot Rookie Andrelton Simmons has four multi-hit games in the past five and is hitting .333 (16-for-48). His two-run home run helped win Fridays game against the Orioles and hes committed only one error in 65 total chances in 14 games in the majors. Matt Diaz is five for his past 14 (.357) and Jason Heyward has five hits in his past 15 at-bats (.333). Chad Durbin has stretched his scoreless streak to 18 consecutive appearances over 14 13 innings. His ERA has dropped from 8.25 on May 7 to 3.76 and hes allowed four hits in seven innings this month. Mike Minor has given up only two runs in his past 12 13 innings for a 1.49 ERA this month. He starts tonight at Yankee Stadium after holding the Yankees to five hits and one run in 7 13 innings on Tuesday. Whos not Jonny Venters gave up four runs in 2 13 innings last week, giving him a 4.26 ERA. Hes allowed four home runs this year after giving up only two last season and one in his rookie year of 2010. Dan Uggla is hitless in his past 12 at-bats and is hitting .182 in June. His average has dropped to .251 from .276 on June 5. Chipper Jones is hitting .190 in June and Brian McCann is at .233 for the month, but has six hits in his past 18 at-bats. He has only two home runs and three RBIs this month, all of them coming in the past week. Injuries Atlanta: Freeman (finger) is day-to-day; Beachy is on the 15-day DL. New York: OF Nick Swisher (quad) and C Russell Martin (foot) are day-to-day; OF Brett Gardner (elbow) is on the 15-day DL. Boston: P Josh Beckett (shoulder), P Aaron Cook (leg), OF Cody Ross (foot), OF Ryan Sweeney (foot) are the 15-day DL. OF Carl Crawford and OF Jacob Ellsbury arent expected back until July. On the farm Longtime minor leaguer Todd Redmond earned his first trip to the majors on Sunday to take the place of Beachy. Redmond, who will work out of the bullpen with Atlanta, was 6-4 with a 3.20 ERA in Gwinnetts rotation this season, his fourth straight year with the team. Hes 34-28 at Gwinnett. OF Luis Durango is leading the International League with 26 steals. Hes been caught eight times. 1B Ernesto Mejia is third in the league with both a .309 average and 48 RBIs. SS Tyler Pastornicky is hitting .275 with 10 RBIs in 17 games with Gwinnett. 1B Joey Terdoslavich is hitting .326 with a home run and 13 RBIs since dropping to Double-A Mississippi. Mississippis Sean Gilmartin, the Braves first-round pick in 2011, won for the third time in his past four starts by allowing no runs and three hits in six innings on Sunday. Hes 5-6 with a 3.17 ERA this year.
