Monkey with a Halo:
Now, I don’t want to advocate the use of chewing tobacco or anything, but Josh Hamilton, man you should have never quit. After an Albert Pujols single to left, Hamilton came up and crushed a 1-0 pitch over the centerfield wall to tie the game at 5. Aybar came up a few batters later and sealed the comeback with a short liner to left, driving in Howie.
Sure, Aybar had the fatal blow, but Hamilton is the real story here. After a week full of “no comments” in question of his reuse, Hamilton finally answered with his bat. Hey if no one else wants to say it, I will. Josh Hamilton is clearly better when he is chewing tobacco. It’s the only difference observable from this week and the previous three months of the season. Let the dude do what ever he wants, as long as he’s earning his paycheck...and as long as it's not other drugs.

Prior to the 2013 draft, Ric Wilson, the Los Angeles Angels
of Anaheim’s Director of Scouting told AngelsWin.com that “The strength of the draft seems to be the depth in
pitching.” About international scouting and signings, Ric Wilson told us that
the Angels “have developed a strong international staff...
It’s oft-repeated that Josh Hamilton is perhaps the streakiest hitter in baseball, a fact which was on display last season, looking at his first-half and second-half splits. Hamilton famously slumped hard after the All-Star break in 2012, which had the slugger searching for excuses.
After the season ended, Hamilton essentially blamed all his on-field struggles on quitting chewing...
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Josh Hamilton hit a tying two-run homer in Los Angeles' three-run ninth inning, and the Angels rallied for a 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night.
Mark Trumbo belted his 19th homer and Mike Trout had two RBIs for Los Angeles, which took two of three in the series. Scott Downs (2-2) got three outs for the victory.
St. Louis ace Adam Wainwright...
Josh Hamilton hit a tying two-run homer in Los Angeles' three-run inning, and the Angels rallied for a 6-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night.
Hamilton connected against closer Edward Mujica (0-1). Howie Kendrick and Mark Trumbo followed with singles, and Mujica retired his next two batters before Erick Aybar drove in the winning run with an opposite-field...
There is no player in baseball today that has the kind of story that Los Angeles Angels outfielder Josh Hamilton has. He has overcome more demons than the Winchester boys on Supernatural (that's a lot if you don't watch the show).
However, last season it appeared that his attempts to overcome one more demon was getting the better of him professionally. It now appears that...
It’s been a long road back from Tommy John surgery for
right-hander Ryan Madson. The Los Angeles Angels were hoping he’d be in their
bullpen by now, but he continues to go through rehab, receiving treatment on
his recovering elbow. While the road before him remains long and uncertain,
Madson took an important step toward his return earlier this week, throwing off
ANAHEIM, Calif. — Los Angeles Angels pitcher Jered Weaver has become a first-time father, naming his son in tribute to late teammate and friend Nick Adenhart.
The team said Friday that Aden David Weaver was born earlier in the day to Weaver and his wife, Kristin. The baby weighs 8 pounds.
Weaver has paid tribute to Adenhart ever since the young pitcher was killed by a drunken driver...
While the Los Angeles Angels struggled through much of the early portion of this season, so too did Mike Trout.
Last year’s rookie sensation was hitting just .261 a month into this season — not terrible, but nowhere near the eye-popping totals he put in 2012. He has rebounded, though, and enters this weekend’s series with the Red Sox as the team leader in on-base percentage...

Angels manager Mike Scioscia is the latest to say that Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig is not yet deserving of an All-Star selection.
While acknowledging the talent of the 22-year-old the former big league cat catcher stated that he believed Puig’s stint in the majors was not long enough to deserve selection to the mid-summer classic.
I’M QUITE SURE IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN, BUT IT WOULD BE NICE IF FORMER DODGER BRETT BUTLER COULD SIT DOWN WITH SMOKELESS TOBACCO USERS LIKE JOSH HAMILTON AND TAKE THEM THROUGH THE HORRORS OF THE ESOPHAGEAL CANCER HE NARROWLY BEAT AFTER YEARS OF INDULGING “CHEW” DURING HIS CAREER IN CHAVEZ RAVINE. HE SHOULD DESCRIBE FOR SKOAL ADDICTS IN MINUTE DETAIL HOW THE ACT OF SWALLOWING FEELS...
To say the Angels' season has been a rollercoaster ride thus far would be an understatement.
Indeed, there are few other ways to describe an eight game win streak snapped by a Houston Astros sweep. This was followed up by what optimists would describe as a "mediocre showing," where the team won only eight out of the next eighteen. However, the slump was shattered...
In the first game of ten on their west coast road trip, the Red Sox were victorious against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, winning 6-2, thanks to a Josh Hamilton error in the seventh inning that scored Shane Victorino.
With the game tied 2-2 in the seventh inning, Angels Outfielder Josh Hamilton dropped a routine looking fly ball to give the Red Sox a lead they wouldn’t give...
The one thing we could count on in this stretch of tumult was ol' 44. Mr. Reliable. The Stopper. Ed Mujica.
Then he came in and gave up the big fly to recovering energy drink addict Josh Hamilton. Worse, the guy on first was one Jose Alberto Pujols who minutes before had just gotten his first hit of the series with a broken bat single.
As the all-star break approaches, the Texas Rangers are once again buyers and are in need of some help. So who do they turn to? Well according to Evan Grant of Dallas Morning News the Rangers have seek the services of Manny Ramirez who is now 41 years old and last played in the majors in 2011 with the Tampa Bay Rays. Manny has been overseas playing for...
