Two of the clubs big prospects in the organization, catcher John Baker and third baseman Matt Dominguez, have both earned promotions Thursday afternoon. Both players were in Double-A Jacksonville playing for the Suns and now will move back up to Triple-A New Orleans to play for the Zephyrs. Baker has played seven games this season splitting between the Jupiter Hammerheads of the Florida State League and the Suns of the Southern League. Baker has played in only seven games and is batting an abysmal .063 trying to come back from an elbow injury. However, there is high hopes for Baker within the organization. Baker was placed on the 60-day DL in the beginning of the season. He spent most of 2010 hurt as well only playing 23 games for Florida batting .218/.307/.282 with 6 RBI. Baker could be a great backup when healthy proving so in 2009 when he batted .271 in 112 games.
