Dunn and Dunner:

Team OBP
2008 .319
2007 .335
Number of walks per game
2008 3.5
2007 3.3
I know the knock on Dusty is that he hates OBP, but by going off those numbers it's obvious Dusty preaching more aggressive ABs isn't really doing anything other than having players swinging at pitches they can't hit solidly resulting in more weakly hit balls, less line drives, and ultimately lower batting average.
Team BA
2008 .246
2007 .267
To be fair I should look at the constants from last years team and compare them to this year. Im going to compare their Avg/OBP/Slug lines, BB%, LD%, pitches per plate appearance, and BABIP(batting average of balls in play).

I think thats good enough proof to suggest Dusty is a negative influence on overall approach of Reds players. I could go a little bit farther and list the ground ball rates from last year and this year also, but I'm lazy. Of course its completely possible that the 4 main stay overs suddenly all showed the same change in numbers for no reason at all making all this crap I typed completely worthless.
