BAL 6, BOS 2: Smoltz rocked

The John Smoltz experiment is failing, miserably. Smoltz got rocked around for nine hits over five innings pitched allowing six runs, one walk, six strikeouts and one home run given up. Nick Markakis drove in three runs including a solo home run in the fifth and David Hernandez threw seven innings yielding one run on five hits, no walks and two strikeouts. Dustin Pedroia had an RBI double in the eighth inning to make it 6-2. Goat of the Game - Smoltz Smoltz drops to 1-4 on the season as a starter for Boston.
