When are we finally going to realize that Buck Showalter is not only the best manager in the game today, but quite possibly the greatest manager of all time!?  Buck is best known for building up franchises with mediocre players and bringing them to the playoffs.  Maybe even better known for his brief stints with the Yankees and Diamondbacks who both won World Series titles a year after Buck's departure.  These teams didn't win despite him, yet as a result of the winning attitude and winning style of baseball Buck instilled before he left. As a matter of fact, Showalter basically did the same thing with the Texas Rangers.  He spent 4 years in Texas making the Rangers relevant once again.  Now the Rangers are back to back AL champs.  Now with the Baltimore Orioles, a team that hasn't sniffed the playoffs in over a decade, is back in the AL East race with once again mediocre players that you couldn't identify in a lineup.  Most of these guys can be easily confused with your next door neighbor.  But Buck is the best and he gets the most out of his squad. The Orioles were a dead last place team before Showalter showed up.  Now he has Baltimore back in the hunt and making this great baseball town have something to cheer about besides the Ravens home opener.
