The sports nation has been gripped by the Barry Bonds HR record for most of the summer. The talk has ranged from how much the ball will go for, when he'll hit it, or whether commish Bud Selig will be on hand. Obviously, this will be the most mired record in all of baseball, and will push further discussion of whether or not it deserves an asterisk because it is a tainted record. Either way, the man will hit the most HR's in the game of baseball and that will be something to see. What will happen after this controversy is over? Will he straight up retire after rounding the bases?
