It was a rare sight at Marlins Park on Tuesday as the Miami Marlins put on an offensive show.   Miami scored eight runs on eleven hits for their biggest offensive showing of the season thus far.   The 8-2 win over the Washington Nationals moved the Marlins to 3-11 on the season and gave them their first win over the Nats in five tries.  Alex Sanabia improved to 2-1 and he leads the Marlins’ rotation in wins thus far. Sanabia went six innings and allowed two runs on six hits and three walks.  It was a typical start for the right-hander who routinely gets himself into jams only to work out of them shortly after.   Sanabia now has a 4.24 E.R.A on the year to go along with his pair of wins.  He’s been remarkably consistent thus far outside of some late runs in his previous start.   Both of the runs surrendered in this game came in the sixth when Sanabia was possibly tiring.  A.J. Ramos worked the next two innings before Mike Dunn put in an inning of work in the ninth. Adeiny Hechavarria hit the first home run at home for Miami this year with his three run blast in the fourth inning off of Dan Haren.  It was the Marlins’ shortstop’s first home run of the year and only the third of the season for Miami as a team.  As part of their offensive prowess on Tuesday, Miami was 6-9 with runners in scoring position which is a major improvement over their usual numbers this year.   Juan Pierre was 3-4 and also swiped a pair of bases in his best game of 2013 while Justin Ruggiano picked up three runs batted in of his own. The Marlins will try and take the series on Wednesday when they are scheduled to send Ricky Nolasco to the mound.
