TEAMS: New York Yankees
Triple-A Empire State: L 3-12 to Buffalo. L: Betances
Ray Kruml: 0/2, K (.100)
Francisco Cervelli: 1/3, R, BB, K (.111)
Brandon Laird: 2/4, L (.200) He’s 4 for his last 14 (.285). Also had his 3rd error in the young season though.
Colin Curtis: 0/4, K (.227)
Dellin Betances: 3.1 IP, 7 H, 8 ER, 6 BB, 3 K, 3 HR (10.8 ERA). Yikes. This is not what you want to see out of your number two prospect.
Double-A Trenton: W 10-1 vs Portland. W: Shaeffer Hall. H: Ryan Flannery
Abe Almonte: 0/4, R, BB, 2 K (.273)
Ronnier Mustelier: 2/4, 2 R, 2B, HR, 2 RBI, BB (.316). He’s old, but I’m starting to think this guy could be a legitimate help to the major league team. He’s hit at every level so far and shows no signs of stopping. He is an excellent contact hitter who doesn’t strike out much, and he can play many positions. He’s got utility guy written all over him.
Dan Brewer: 1/5, 2 RBI, 2 K (.250). Batting in the 3-hole tonight.
Cody Johnson: 1/5, R, 2 K (.375)
Melky Mesa: 1/4, R (.250)
“Boilin” Zoilo Almonte: 1/1, R (.409). In a pinch hit appearance.
Walt Ibarra: 1/4, RBI, K (.222). He also had an error.
Addison Maruszak had a big day, going 2/4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI.
Shaeffer Hall: 7 IP, 4 H, ER, 3 K (3.27 ERA). Looked much sharper in this start.
Ryan Flannery: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 ER (3.00 ERA)
Ryan Pope: 1.0 IP, H, 2 K (6.00 ERA) His rough first outing is inflating his ERA. He’s looked better and better each time out.
High-A Tampa: W 2-1 vs Clearwater in extras. W: Nuno (1-1). S: Montgomery (2)
Eddy Sosa: 0/5, 3 K (.182)
Kelvin Castro: 0/5, K (.250)
Ramon Flores: 1/5, R, 2B, K (.136)
Rob “Seggy” Segedin: 2/5, R, 2B, HR (2), RBI, 2 K (.320). 8 for his last 16 with 2 HR.
Kyle Roller: 1/5, RBI, K (.125)
Nik Turley “Bird”: 6 IP, 7 H, ER, 3 BB, 4 K, HR (1.64 ERA). Nice start from him, now if only he can limit the walks.
Francisco Rondon: 3 IP, 1 BB, 7 K, 0 ER. Holy K rate… beastly outing.
Mark “Monte Python” Montgomery: 1 IP, H, 2 BB, K (5.4 ERA). Second save of the season.
Low-A Charleston: W 11-5 vs Augusta. W: Campos (2-0). This is the run production I was expecting.
Mason Williams: 1/4, 2 R, 2B, BB, SB (2), CS (1) (.250)
Ben Gamel: 2/5, RBI (.235). 3 for his last 8 (.375).
Dante Bichette Jr.: 1/5, R, 3B, 3 RBI, 2 K (.280)
Tyler Austin: 2/5, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI, K (.286). Starting to pick it up.
Gary Sanchez: 1/4, BB, K (.300)
Casey Stevenson: 1/3, 2 R, BB (.500)
Angelo “Bubba” Gumbs: 2/5, R, 2 K, E (.125). First two hits of the season, nice job!
Anderson Feliz: 3/4, 2 R, 2B, 3B, 3 RBI (.353). Having a nice start to the season.
Jose Campos: 5 IP, R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 8 K (0.00 ERA). Dominant
