Triple-A Empire State: W 5-3 vs Rochester. W: Warren (2-1), S: Whelan (3)

Ray Kruml: ¼, 2 R, 2 SB (3) (.194)

Frankie Cervelli: 0/3, R, RBI, BB (.150)

Dewayne Wise: ¼ (.485)

Brandon Laird: 0/4, 2 K (.204)

Colin Curtis: 2/4, R, K, SB (1) (.250)

Adam Warren: 6 IP, 4 H, ER, 2 BB, 5 K (5.17 ERA). Now that’s the outing we’ve been waiting for.

Double-A Trenton: L 2-5 to Harrisburg L: Romanski (1-1)

Abe Almonte: 0/4, K (.260)

Ronnier Mustelier: 0/4, K (.333). First non multi-hit game in 4 games.

Zoilo Almonte: 0/2, K, CS (1) (.255) Came out of the game after his second at bat.

Neil Medchill: 0/2, K after subbing in for Almonte.

Luke Murton: 2/4, R, 2B, HR (1), RBI, K (.263)

Melky Mesa: 0/4, K (.260)

Cody Johnson: 1/3, R, 2 K (.342). Stay hot Cody.

Walt Ibarra: 1/3, 2B, 2 K (.286)

Josh Romanski: 7 IP, 9 H, 4 ER, BB, 6 K, HR (5.19 ERA). That’s another meh start, I do like the strikeouts though.

We faced off against our old buddy Christian Garcia today, who pitched 1.1 scoreless innings for Harrisburg. He’s got a 1.5 ERA on the season so far and 7 K in 6 IP. The big question is whether or not he can stay healthy for the Nationals.

High-A Tampa: W 5-2 vs Daytona. W: Ramirez

Eddy Sosa: 2/3, R, 2B, 3B (.240). Needs a couple more of these types of games.

Kelvin Castro: 0/4, R, BB (.204)

Ramon Flores: 1/5, K (.196)

Rob Segedin: ¼, R, BB, 2 K (.280)

Kyle Roller: 2/4, R, BB, K (.200) Good to see him get a two-hit game.

JR Murphy: 0/3, RBI, BB (.250) 3 for his last 18 (.167).

Shane Brown: 2/4, 2 RBI, K (.500). Good to see that Brown is back, I enjoy following him because he is one of those guys who just hits for average.

Jose Mojica: ¼ (.350)

Jose Ramirez: 6 IP, 4 H, ER, 5 K (6.75 ERA). This was a big game for him. It was his first good start of the year, and boy did he need it. He’s 1-2 now.

Vidal Nuno: 2 IP, 3 K (2.35 ERA) God his first hold of the season.

Manuel Barreda: 1 IP, H, ER, K, HR (11.25 ERA)

Charleston: W 9-8 vs West Virginia. W: Guerra

Mason “Mad Mase” Williams: 2/4, R, RBI, SB (7) (.328) He keeps up the hot hitting. Has hit safely in 11 straight games now. How long of a hit streak will he have to go on to get promoted?

Angelo “Bubba” Gumbs: 2/4, R, 2B, HR (1), 5 RBI, 2 K, E (2) (.200). Still had the 2 K, but if he can hit like that every day I can deal with that.

Gary “Sanchize” Sanchez: 2/4, R, RBI, BB, 3 SB, 2 E (2) (5) (.375) He’s owning the pitching at this level. I hate to say this but the only road block to High-A for him is JR Murphy, but since Murphy’s not hitting well, he may not get promoted for a while.

Tyler Austin: ¼, R, H, 2B, RBI, 2 K (.432) What? No multi-hit game today?

Ben Gamel: ¼, K (.245)

Cito Culver: 1/4, 3 K, E (1) SB (3) (.146) Yikes. At least he stole a base.

Casey Stevenson: 2/3, 3 R, 3B, SB (1) (.500)

Anderson Feliz: 1/3, 2 R, BB, SB (2) (.300). Even without Bichette Jr. this lineup is rock solid top to bottom.

Bryan Mitchell: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 5 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, K (3.72 ERA). Rough outing. Luckily because of unearned runs, it didn’t hurt his ERA too much. The main thing with him is consistency, and he’ll have to start developing it.

Daniel Mahoney: 2.1 IP, 3 H, R, 0 ER, 2 BB, K (5.68 ERA)

Pedro Guerra: 3 IP, 2 H, R, ER, BB, 7 K (1.8 ERA)

Rumor: Yankees not planning extension talks with Martin

As is their usual style, the Yankees don’t plan on discussing an extension with Russell Martin, who will be a free agent after this year, during the season, according to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. This is not much of a surprise, but the latest trend in baseball is to lock up players before they hit the market so it’s not crazy to check in on this. As long as there are other...

Kuroda’s pitches not working as he gets rocked by Minnesota

Hiroki Kuroda pitched a real gem in his last time out against Albert Pujols and the Angels so the Minnesota Twins didn’t seem like they would be much of a problem. Instead, Kuroda made one of the worst starts of his career, giving up six runs in just 4.1 innings. After the game Kuroda explained that lack of movement on his sinker and the absense of his secondary pitches is what...

If you did not know--I was out all day yesterday and did not know either--the Yankees and Red Sox will be wearing 1912 throwback uniforms on Friday to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park.
