The Pawsox held onto their 2-0, then 3-0 lead for 7 innings before blowing the series winner in the 8th and 9th innings.

Bryce Brentz and Mike Rivera hit back-to-back solo homers for the Pawsox to give them the 2-0 in the 2nd inning. Pawtucket held that lead and increased it to 3-0 in the 8th on a J.C. Linares RBI triple. Starting pitcher, Billy Buckner (don't read too much into the name) was solid (6.1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 7 K) and was on his way for the victory before the bullpen blew it for him. Scranton got a run back in the bottom of the 8th, cutting the Pawsox lead to 3-1. Then it all went wrong in the 9th and the Yankees walked off with the win after scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to avoid the sweep.

Game 4 is tonight at 7:05 in Rochester.
