Looks like Beckett and Saltalamacchia are going to get along just fine after all.
Joshy threw three scoreless innings against the Cardinals today, and he only needed 30 pitches to get those 9 outs. While he didn't strike anyone out, he didn't walk anyone either. Pair that with his last outing (2 IP, 1 hit, 2 BB), and I don't see any reason to question their chemistry at this point.
Hopefully we can put the Beckett-Salty worries to bed now. At least until his first start when Beckett shakes off Salty for 26 consecutive minutes.
And in even better news, everybody's favorite shortstop Jose Iglesias is having one hell of a day too. I'll let NESN's Didier Morais provide the details:
Bottom 2nd: This was the Jose Iglesias inning. The shortstop was all over the place making strong defensive plays.
He made a sliding stop at shortstop and threw a laser to first to get David Freese out. That was some range.
Then, he rushed all the way in front of Dustin Pedroia at second base to scoop Matt Adams' grounder and toss him out. Highlight-reel stuff.
Mid 8th, 3-3: Jose Iglesias answered back with a three-tun triple of his own -- down the right field line -- to deadlock it.
Making Sportscenter-highlight caliber plays in the field. Bashing three-run triples. Jose Iglesias is the greatest shortstop in the history of athletics. NO ONE DENIES THIS!

JUPITER, Fla. –– Jose Iglesias scurried all around the infield. In the second inning, the Red Sox shortstop started by making a sliding stop on David Freese’s grounder and firing a bullet to first base for the out. On the ensuing at-bat, Cardinals designated hitter Matt Adams hit a sharp grounder to second base. As the ball rolled, Iglesias bolted in front of Dustin Pedroia...
Today I’ll be talking about quite possibly the greatest player to ever play the game of baseball, Darnell McDonald, or as he likes to go by “MacDime”. He is likely to make the Red Sox 25 man roster as an outfielder who mashes lefties. Will he get major playing time in 2012 due to Crawford’s inability to hit lefties better than Mario Mendoza? Read on for the scoop on...
Fenway Park has been a sacntuary for Boston sports fans for nearly a century, containing more history between its big green walls than almost any arena, building or park throughout the country. And on Wednesday, Fenway was recognized for that unique and timeless history. Entering its 100th season as the official home of the Red Sox, Fenway Park has finally been added to the National...
Closer Andrew Bailey has to pitch this spring because of a strained lat muscle but that will come to an end hopefully on Friday when he is scheduled to pitch batting practice. Bailey also has a tentative inning on Monday against the Marlins. Closers typically need much less time to get ready for the season given that they only pitch (usually) one inning at a time. I'm interested...

Ever showered in champagne? Didn't think so. That kind of fancy living is reserved for only the truest of champions. No division or conference titles are really worth of it. Only being the best of the best earns you that right. Well the path to your first champagne shower is here. While much of the first-round talent is elite, there are plenty of question marks. Some players...
