The Phillies might have lost a tough game to the Reds after getting great starting pitching from Cliff Lee but the biggest story from this Reds vs Phillies game was the catch by Ben Revere. In the bottom of the 2nd inning with a man on 1st and no outs, Todd Frazier hit a bullet to dead center, and Revere ran it down and made an unbelievable full extension diving catch towards the warning track. Then he double off Jay Bruce on 1st who was running the bases thinking it was a hit. It honestly could be the best catch I've ever seen. If you missed it, check it out here.Reds 4 Phillies 2Bronson Arroyo took a shutout into the 8th inning before he gave up a game tying 2-run shot off the bat of Chase Utley. He finished the 8th and got the win after Brandon Phillips had a 2-run single with the bases loaded.Aroldis Chapman pitched a perfect 9th inning with 2 strike outs to pick up the save, his 3rd of the year.Cincinnati's bats were quiet until the 7th inning when they scored 2 runs to break a scoreless tie. Joey Votto singled to lead off the inning then it was second and third no outs after Brandon Phillips double. Votto scored on a Cliff Lee wild pitch and Phillips scored on a sac fly off the bat of Todd Frazier.Phillips finished the night going 2-4 with a run scored and 2 RBI.Cliff Lee did not get a decision but he pitched well in this game. In 7 innings he allowed 5 hits, 1 walk, 2 earned runs and struck out 4.Twins 8 Angels 2Kevin Correia picked up his 1st win of the season as he threw 7 strong innings giving up 2 runs on 2 solo home runs and he struck out 5.Joe Mauer had a big day at the plate going 4-5 with a home run, a double, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Trevor Plouffe also homered and doubled.Joe Blanton got roughed up in his 4 2/3 innings of work, allowing 9 hits, a walk, 4 runs and 2 homers.Mark Lowe didn't help the team in relief as he threw 1/3 of an inning and was charged with 3 runs.Peter Bourjos and Brendan Harris hit the 2 solo home runs for the Angels.Nationals 10 Marlins 3The Nationals did not need a whole lot from Jordan Zimmermann as the offense exploded for 10 runs, but Zimmermann threw a complete game anyways as he gave up 3 runs on 6 hits and striking out 6. He improves to 3-0 on the year.7 Nationals hitters had at least 2 hits.Denard Span went 2-5 with a run scored and 2 RBI.Jayson Werth went 2-3 with 2 runs scored.Ryan Zimmerman went 2-5 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 4 RBI.Ian Desmond went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 runs scored.Tyler Moore went 2-5 with a double, a run scored and 3 RBI.Stephen Lombardozzi went 2-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.Kurt Suzuki went 2-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored.Wade LeBlanc falls to 0-3 on the year as he gave up 9 hits and 7 runs in 3 2/3 innings.Juan Pierre and Greg Dobbs had the only two extra base hits for the Marlins, they were both doubles.Blue Jays 4 White Sox 3Mark Buehrle picked up his first win as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays as he went 6 1/3 innings against his old team allowing 2 runs on 9 hits and struck out 3.6 of the 10 hits for the Blue Jays were extra base hits.Emilio Bonifacio, Adam Lind and Colby Rasmus doubled.Munenori Kawasaki tripled.Maicer Izturis and J.P. Arencibia homered.Edwin Encarnacion who is off to a slow start in 2013, homered on Sunday and had 3 hits in this game.Gavin Floyd is now 0-3 after giving up 9 hits, 3 walks and 4 runs in just 4 1/3 innings.Dayan Viciedo went 3-4 with a double and an RBI for the Sox.Cardinals 10 Pirates 6The Cardinals handed Lance Lynn a 10-1 lead after 3 innings which included a 7-run 2nd inning. Lynn improves to 2-0 as he went 5 innings allowing 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks.Jon Jay had a nice day at the plate leading off for the Cards as he went 2-4 with a walk, a double, 3 runs scored and 2 RBI.Matt Holliday went 2-5 with a double, a run scored and 2 RBI. Allen Craig drove in 3.Lasting just 1 1/3 innings, James McDonald gave up 8 runs (3 earned) on 8 hits.Continuing to swing a hot bat for the Pirates is Starling Marte out of the leadoff spot. He went 3-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI. He now has multiple hits in 8 of his last 9 games.Neil Walker went 2-5 and hit his first home run of the season.Red Sox 3 Rays 2This game was dominated by the starting pitching as Ryan Dempster and Jeremy Hellickson were great in this one. However, neither pitcher factored in the decision.Ryan Dempster went 7 innings, allowing just 2 hits, 1 walk and 1 run as he struck out 10. He was in line for the win but Andrew Bailey allowed a leadoff single to Desmond Jennings in the 9th, a stolen base and then an RBI single off the bat of Ben ZobristJeremy Hellickson went 7 innings, allowing 3 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs and struck out 9.The Red Sox got on the board early as Jacoby Ellsbury lead off with a triple and then scored on a Shane Victorino ground out.Evan Longoria tied up the game in the 4th with a solo blast.Jarrod Saltalamacchia gave the Red Sox the lead again with a solo home run to lead off the bottom of the 5th.After Zobrist tied the game in the 9th, Mike Napoli ended it with a walk off double, blasting the ball off the green monster, scoring Dustin Pedroia.Athletics 11 Astors 2Tommy Milone was very good over 6 2/3 innings as he allowed 8 hits and 2 runs while strike out 6 and walking none. He improves to 3-0 on the season.Three Athletics had 3 or more RBI in this game.Jed Lowrie went 2-4 with a walk, a run scored and 4 RBI.Brandon Moss went 2-4 with a double, a run scored and 3 RBI.Nate Freiman went 1-4 with a 3-run homer.Derek Norris went 1-3 with 2 walks, a double and 3 runs scored.Erik Bedard was awful as he could not get out of the 1st inning, lasting just a 1/3 of an inning allowing 6 runs on 2 hits, and 4 walks. He threw 35 pitches, only 18 were strikes.Jose Altuve and Carlos Pena each had an RBI for the Astros.Padres 6 Dodgers 3Eric Stults allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings and picked up the win. Huston Street closed out the 9th, earning his 2nd save of the year. Not only did Stults get the win, but he provided the power for the Padres. Stults hit a 3-run home run off of Chad Billingsley in the 2nd inning. It was a tie game heading into the 7th when Chris Denorfia walked with the bases loaded to give the Padres the lead and then added another run when Yonder Alonso hit into a double play with the bases loaded. Kyle Blanks added an insurance run in the 9th with a sac fly.Chad Billingsley pitched well in his 6 innings but allowing the 3-run home run to the opposing pitcher will haunt him. He finished the night allowing 7 hits, 2 walks and 3 runs.Carl Crawford went 3-5 with a run scored and an RBI.Mark Ellis, Matt Kemp and A.J. Ellis all had 2 hits for the Dodgers.
