Betancourt to remain Rockies' closer

Colorado Rockies manager Jim Tracy says Rafael Betancourt will remain the team's closer for now, even with regular stopper Huston Street having returned from the disabled list.Betancourt has been one of the hottest relievers since the All-Star break, throwing 16 2/3 scoreless innings while striking out 28 over that span.Tracy said he believes keeping Betancourt in the closer role is best for the team heading into September.Betancourt is 2-0 with three saves and a 3.29 ERA over 52 innings.Street, who was activated Friday, is 1-3 with 29 saves and a 4.06 ERA in 51 frames. He'll work in a setup role for the time being.
