Figures. As soon as Rafael Betancourt lands in The Zone, he gets hurt. Betancourt struggled with shoulder inflammation and the flu in April and May, bouncing in and out of the eighth-inning setup role. But he had been on a roll of late, witness his August numbers: 3-0, 1.08 in 10 appearances. And now, he doesn’t know when he can pitch again, no thanks to a strain in his upper groin/lower abdomin region. He definitely won’t pitch tonight.  “We’ll have to wait and see how I feel when I wake up,” said Betancourt. “This time of the year, especially with the way our team is right now, I don’t want to take any chances. I went through that last year, and it’s not fun.” Betancourt sustained a groin strain that cost him five weeks last season before being traded to the Rockies from Cleveland.
