The way the Tampa Bay Rays have owned the Blue Jays over the past six seasons who would have guessed that Toronto would be the team to throw a wrench in their playoff plans? Since the beginning of the 2008 season until the start of this final three game series of the 2013 season the Rays had won 71 of the 96 meetings between these two AL East rivals. But never in all that time have the Rays needed to dominate more than on this final weekend of the regular schedule with their playoff lives on the line. They arrived in Toronto as the No. 1 wild-card seed ahead of Cleveland and Texas. Now after losing 6-3 to the Jays on Friday and again by a 7-2 score on Saturday the Rays are dangerously close to missing the post-season altogether.
