Jose Berrios pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings as the Toronto Blue Jays won their home opener at the renovated Rogers Centre, defeating the Seattle Mariners 5-2 Monday night.

Vladimir Guerrero went 2-for-4 with a double and Davis Schneider was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Blue Jays, who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Berrios (2-0) allowed just four hits. The right-hander walked one and struck out six.

J.P. Crawford and Cal Raleigh homered and Ty France went 3-for-4 for the Mariners, who dropped their second game in a row.

Seattle ace Luis Castillo (0-3) took the loss, allowing four earned runs for the third time in as many starts this season. The right-hander went five innings and gave up nine hits, walked one and fanned six.

The Blue Jays scored in the second, third and fourth innings to take a 4-0 lead.

Justin Turner led off the bottom of the second with a double into the left field corner and scored on Alejandro Kirk's two-out single to left.

In the third, Guerrero reached on a one-out infield single down the third base line and advanced to third on Bo Bichette's double to center. Schneider then lined a two-run single to center to make it 3-0.

The Blue Jays added another run in the fourth as Kevin Kiermaier lined a one-out single to right, stole second an out later and scored on Guerrero's double to center.

The score remained 4-0 until Crawford went deep to right with one out in the top of the eighth off Blue Jays reliever Yimi Garcia.

Toronto tacked on a run in the bottom of the inning as Schneider led off with a single off reliever Brett de Geus. Pinch runner Daulton Varsho took second on a balk and pinch hitter Cavan Biggio was hit by a pitch. After the Mariners turned a double play, Isiah Kiner-Falefa lined a run-scoring single to right.

Raleigh went deep to right off Chad Green with one out in the ninth.

The Blue Jays played their first 10 games of the season on the road while a $400 million stadium renovation was being completed.
