Chelsea's action-packed season finally has an end point after the announcement of a second game in the United States against Manchester City , this time at Yankee Stadium in New York.
Last season's Champions League winners are on course to play 70 competitive matches this term - if they advance to the Europa League and FA Cup finals.
City and Chelsea first meet in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final at Wembley and then again at Busch Stadium, home of St Louis Cardinals, on May 23, before a second Stateside friendly at the home of the New York Yankees on May 25.
The second friendly will begin at 1730 local time (2230BST), around the same time as Chelsea's successors as European champions will be crowned at Wembley.
The England players in the squads will experience a short turnaround and clock up many air miles due to a friendly against the Republic of Ireland in London on May 29 and the trip to Rio de Janeiro to play Brazil on June 2.
On announcing the game, Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay said: "The club is excited to be playing a double-header in the US this May and thrilled to be returning to Yankee Stadium.
"We were delighted to take part in the first ever football game there, and we received sensational support in what was a sea of blue fans inside and outside the stadium that day.
"Spending the week in St Louis and New York also provides a great opportunity for the club to reconnect with our US fans before we head to Asia in July for pre-season.
"America has long been an important place for Chelsea Football Club, and we have seen first-hand the continued rise of the game's popularity."
All tickets for the St Louis friendly at the 46,861-capacity Busch Stadium sold out within 20 minutes of going on sale.
Following last week's announcement of the first game, Chelsea interim coach Rafael Benitez suggested he is prepared to lead the Blues in the USA, even though his contract expires at the end of the season.

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter is performing limited on-field work at the team's minor-league complex in Florida as part of a rehabilitation program for a left ankle injury.
Jeter took five rounds of batting practice on Monday. He also fielded 21 grounders at the normal shortstop position, which was a decreased total from workouts last Wednesday and Friday.
The Yankees will look to make it three in a row tonight, as they will play the Indians in game two of a four game set. Andy Pettitte, who pitched eight innings of one-run ball in his first start against Boston, will toe the rubber for the Bombers. Carlos Carrasco, who missed all of last year after undergoing Tommy John surgery, will make his first start tonight for the Tribe. Here...
The New York Yankees won the first game in a four game set against the Cleveland Indians, 11-6.
This is the second win in row for the Yankees after beating up Tigers ace Justin Verlander on Sunday.
No doubt the Yankees look a lot better after going 1-4 to start the season, but are fans feeling better about the team now?

New York Yankees 11 — Cleveland Indians 6
Travis Hafner made his return to Cleveland in a big way in today’s 11-6 win over the Cleveland Indians, their second win in a row.
The home opener featured Ubaldo Jimenez as the starting pitcher for the Indians. A walk of Robinson Cano and a single to Kevin Youkilis put two on for the returning Travis Hafner.

The New York Yankees are 2-4 after six games. I know it is only six games and you really can’t judge after that. There is a lot of panic in Yankee land and a lot of people saying I told you so. I am not really one of those people because I believe that the Yankees will be able to hang in there until they get some of their stars back and then they can fully compete with the...

It was a cold, snowy Opening Day in the Bronx. The Yankees defeated the Kansas City Royals, 7-3. Starter Andy Pettitte allowed 3R in 6.1IP (6H, 2BB), earning the win. Newcomers Joe Girardi, replacing Mike Stanley, and Tino Martinez, replacing Don Mattingly, get booed during pregame introductions. Girardi goes 1-for-5 batting in the second spot and rookie shortstop Derek...
Please I am begging you to stop. Oh and drop the act like you don’t know what I am talking about.
The New York Yankees have to stop losing, today. Everybody knows that the Bronx Bombers are dealing with an unprecedented number of injuries to big players. But that is no excuse, as Yankees ownership knows better. Hal Steinbrenner could have spent some money in the off...
The Yankees are having a rough season, and so are their triple-A affiliates, who started a huge fire behind their ballpark on Saturday.
Two of the sporting world's youngest hot shots struck a pose in the visitor's dugout in Arlington Sunday night. Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, last season's Heisman Trophy winner, took a moment to add another cool moment to his star-studded off-season check list. Manziel got a chance to catch up with Anaheim Angels outfielder Mike Trout, last year's American...
