TEAMS: Los Angeles Dodgers, Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Hawks
LOS ANGELES Long-time baseball executive Bob Wolfe was named executive vice president of the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team announced. Wolfe rejoins Dodgers President and CEO Stan Kasten with whom he teamed with the Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals.
Wolfe served as executive vice president of the Nationals from 2006-11, having been brought there by Kasten. Wolfe had worked with Kasten in various capacities with the Braves and NBA Atlanta Hawks for more than 20 years, including serving as Braves senior vice president of administration from 1992-2003.
Bob was integral to the success we enjoyed in Atlanta and Washington, Kasten said, and his experience and skill at implementing improvements will be most welcome as we move forward with our work here in Los Angeles.
After working in the Braves accounting department from 1980-84, Wolfe accepted a position as Hawks business manager in 1985. He was named vice presidentbusiness manager of the Hawks in 1988 and subsequently enjoyed membership on both the Braves and Hawks foundations.
Wolfes expertise in baseball and facility management includes stadium development and operations, finance and administration, sales and marketing, food and retail services, and minor-league business operations.
Kasten and Wolfes expertise in the business side of baseball helped build the Braves into a powerhouse in the 1990s and their efforts laid the foundation for the Nationals success in Washington, including the construction and operation of Turner Field in Atlanta and Nationals Park in the nations capital.

Dodgers 2012 MLB Draft Recap: Day 2
The Dodgers have done very well in the 2012 MLB Draft thus far. I see more of a focus on position players, which makes sense considering the obvious need the Dodgers have for it down in the lower levels. Dodgers assistant general manager Logan White has in recent years fallen under the philosophy of draft pitchers, early and often. For the first time in an entire decade that philosophy...
