Yanks Fan vs Sox Fan:
"I don't want to waste valuable time talking about the Yankees." Bobby V then went on a bit longer not talking about them by saying how he talked to Joe Girardi and used to love the Yankees before discovering his hatred for them, then moved onto other topics not Yankee-related.
This is gonna be fun.
Also, Ortiz accepted arbitration.

Rumor: Yankees Willing to Eat Cash to Deal Burnett
They may be looking to add starting pitchers this offseason, but the Yankees are trying to subtract at least one – A.J. Burnett – and are even willing to eat up to $8 million to make him more attractive, according to George King of the NY Post.
Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that teams are interested in Burnett even as the Yankees take a bite out of the $33 million...
Yankees Contacted the Mets About Niese
Upon first hearing about Niese's availability, I was cautiously optimistic that the Yankees would, at the very least, inquire about the young lefty. While Niese may not offer the upside of Gio Gonzalez or the experience of John Danks, I believe that he is not too far removed from either, and is quite likely to come at the most reasonable cost. For those of you unfamiliar with...
Rumor: Yankees clear front runner to land Cespedes
Perhaps their interest is real…
The Yankees have been linked to free agent Cuban outfielder Yoenis Cespedes since the day we first heard about him and now Frankie Piliere of Fox Sports has reported that they may be clear front runners in landing him.
There is some thinking that with the new collective bargaining agreement that will limit spending on international free agents...

Rumor: Yankees win rights to negotiate with Hiroyuki Nakajima
First, hello friends. Second, the New York Yankees have won the right to negotiate with Japanese shortstop Hiroyuki Nakajima. The 29-year-old hit .313/.389/.491 in four years in Japan and was posted this offseason.
He would most likely add some middle infield utility depth behind Eduardo Nunez. He wasn’t the biggest name on the international market.
I wouldn’t want...
Kuroda Open To East Coast
Interesting... The money is a lot for a middle of the rotation guy, but signing Kuroda makes some sense if the Yankees are going to avoid some of the higher priced talent out there. They won't be locked into a long-term deal, he's coming of the best of his four big league seasons, and has thrown right around 200 innings for two straight years.
What do you guys think?
This Past Week’s Quality Quotes from the World of Sports
Has anyone seen this photo of Brian Cashman repelling down the side of the building? If you’re a Yankees fan you’re used to seeing nerdy Cashman with a microphone in his face. This may actually mean that Cashman is cooler than we originally thought!

Goodbye A.J.?
Could this be the end of the A.J. Burnett saga? Burnett does have a limited trade clause making the teams interested in him vary.If Burnett goes, this will open a spot...
