Take Bobby Valentine's word for it -- the Red Sox have not checked out on this season. They had plenty of opportunities to during a nine-game road trip along the Pacific, but even after losing seven in a row, fought back against the Mariners on Tuesday night to stop the bleeding. On Wednesday, they'll turn to Aaron Cook in the hopes of heading back to Boston on a high note. It's been a season short on those lately, so NESN Nation's Dan Duquette is glad to see the team still has some fight left. See more in the above video....

  • Media personel such as Glenn Ordway are insensitve puppets for a perceived audience of losers in Boston. They take no responsibility for their comments and then skillfully dodge any rebuke by the interviewee. Bobby V was well in his right to question Ordway's sincerity and purpose for making such a statement as to whethers he's 'checked out.' Knowing that the organization is struggling and especially what BV has had to endure as the fall guy, shows what an cabron Ordway is. BV has given what he could to an unappreciative town and Ordway's nepotism. For his own sanity and quality of life, he should resign. Boston doesn't deserve a manager such as BV.
