Barry's agent has told reporters that his client intends to play one more season, in order to break the HR record. The teams rumored to be "attractive" to Bonds are the Mariners, Tigers, Yankees, Angels, Dodgers, and Giants. I can't see any team but the Giants agreeing to take on that liability. Well, maybe the Dodgers.

How much do you pay him if you're the Giants? I say you take him back, but for not a penny more than $9 mil. He'll make that back in attendence. But, you can't sign him if it means you can't sign other big bats like Soriano.

San Fran is one of the few, maybe only locale that still finds Bonds endearing. Both Barry and the ballclub owe it to the fans to let him break the HR mark as a Giant. Ideally, Bonds would take less money to finish his career there, but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that.
