MLB News: The Boston Red Sox activated David Ortiz off of the disabled list Saturday. While one day later than FFLockerRoom originally reported, the stall was due to the city of Boston being on lock-down. FFLockerRoom sends prayers to everyone involved.
Fantasy Ramifications: While Ortiz made a great statement going 2-for-4 in his return to the Red Sox lineup, we have to be realistic. He is making it back from an Achilles injury and is 37 years old. He played in only 90 games last season and despite a very nice 23 home runs in 324 at-bats, his age is starting to take over. If you are in a desperate need for someone to fill in at designated hitter or utility, you could do worse. But that isn’t saying much. -FFLockerRoom
