Boston Red Sox lefthander Jon Lester admits he partook in drinking in the clubhouse during games.Lester said he was among the participants in beer-drinking sessions during games in which he was not scheduled to pitch. Reports out of Boston last week targeted members of the starting rotation, saying they would drink beer and eat fried chicken while their teammates were on the field.Lester clarified that chicken orders were limited to once-a-month occurrences.The 27-year-old went on to say that the "ninth inning rally beer" had nothing to do with the club's monumental September collapse, in which it squandered a double-digit lead in games to lose out on the AL wild-card on the final day of the season.Lester was Boston's most dependable pitcher, going 15-9 with a 3.47 ERA and 182 strikeouts in 191 2/3 innings.
