Brandon Crawford is out of the Giants’ lineup Wednesday after spraining his right index and middle fingers in the fourth inning of Tuesday’s game against San Diego. The shortstop was injured while sliding into second base, and was called out to add insult to injury. Joaquin Arias slid over from third and Nick Noonan entered the game, batting in Crawford’s No. 6 spot. Noonan reached base twice in a game the Giants went on to win 5-4. Bruce Bochy is optimistic Crawford can go Thursday, when the Giants start a four-game set against the Marlins, but the Chronicle’s Henry Schulman says it’s going to be a day-to-day kind of deal. Crawford will pick up a bat and glove every day and give his manager the go-ahead when he feels he can play. The Giants have had terrible luck with fingers this season, with Crawford the third Giants to miss time because of an injured digit.
