A bright-yellow security coat was removed during game four of the American League Championship Series after Detroit's Brandon Inge complained that the garment was compromising his vision on defense.
It didn't seem to matter though as the Rangers went on to win 7-3 in extras to help push their series lead to 3-1.

One of the three toughest sports jobs in Detroit is being Brandon Inge. Certainly playing quarterback for the Lions or goalie for the Wings comes with no shortage of pressure. But nothing compares to the passion Inge inspires -- one way or the other -- among fans who follow the Tigers.

So after watching highlights of the game-tying homerun by Brandon Inge, I couldn’t bring myself to watch anything after that. My first two thoughts of what happened after that was I wouldn’t have tried to score Miguel Cabrera from third and I wouldn’t have given Austin Jackson the green light. But hey, we get Justin Verlander today to try to force a game six.

DETROIT -- The Tigers clubhouse was quiet, no music playing, as it always is after a loss.
But this was no ordinary loss. Losing 7-3 in 11 innings to the Texas Rangers in Game 4 puts the Tigers in a 1-3 ALCS hole.
