mlb.mlb.com:
For the third time this year, Brandon Erbe pitched 6 or more innings of no-hit ball (twice 6 innings, and once 7). However, this was the first time the Keys bullpen could hold up their end of the bargain and finish the no-hitter. The combined no-no was against the Salem Avalanche and led the Keys to a 5-0 win.
First no-hitter in the Carolina league since April of 2006...when another Frederick Key, Radhames Liz, combined with three relievers to no-hit Salem.
Also of note, Brandon Erbe's other no-hit performances this year both came against Wilmington. I think if the Keys could play Wilmington and Salem all the time, the Orioles would have some of the best pitching prospects in the game.
