You know how every team has that day when the kids come on the field to greet the players as they take their position? The players usually greet them with a high five, ask them a couple questions, sign a baseball, and point them towards the exit.
Well, the Cincinnati Reds run that promotion, but their starting second baseman has a unique way of greeting his fans.
Reds’ play-by-play voice George Grande labeled that leap “the thrill of a lifetime for that young man.”
I don’t know George, kid looks a little unnerved to me. Unless you meant it was a thrill for Phillips. That might be accurate.
