The Atlanta Braves and Washington Nationals have been told to stay away from Nationals Park in the wake of a shooting Monday morning at the U.S. Navy Yard in downtown D.C.
Thus far the game for 7;05 pm ET has not been canceled but there remains a good chance it will be.
An armed gunman opened fire Monday inside the Navy Yard – killing at least four people and wounding six more. SWAT officers swarmed the building and the shooter is believed to have been wounded in a shootout.
More details to come for sure.
Nationals Park shares the same metro stop as the U.S. Navy Yard.
The Nationals were scheduled to start Dan Haren while Mike Minor was to pitch for Atlanta.
