Fox Sports:
Braves right-hander Tommy Hanson says his right shoulder is feeling good and he expects to be on a regular routine for the start of spring training.
Hanson enjoyed a strong first half of the 2011 season. He made only five starts after the All-Star break due to persistent pain in the shoulder. A small tear was found in his right rotator cuff that did not require surgery.
He resumed throwing last month. He said before working out at Turner Field Thursday his shoulder ''feels really good.''
Hanson won at least 10 games in each of his three seasons. He had 10 wins at the All-Star break last year but won only one more game.
Braves pitchers and catchers report to spring training on Feb. 19.

Hanson Ready for Spring
According to Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Tommy Hanson will be ready for spring training. Hanson was on his way to another strong season when a small tear in his rotator cuff was discovered in August. The tear did not require surgery, and the team shut down Hanson for the remainder of the season.
Had the Atlanta Braves made the playoffs last season, there was some speculation that Hanson...
Top 30 Braves Prospects: #5-1
5. Sean GilmartinI criticized the Gilmartin draft pick immediately when it happened because I saw no reason for a team with a glut of near major league ready pitching prospects to take a college arm that would zip through the system. Well, his performance hasn't warranted me to be irritated at him, but the point still remains: he's going to go through the system ridiculously...
Top 30 Braves Prospects: #15-11
15. Adam MilliganThe 23 year-old Milligan is a supremely talented individual....but he just cannot stay healthy. This season for Lynchburg, Milligan had a .902 OPS and 35 extra base hits, but only played in 64 games. The prior season, while playing for Myrtle Beach, Milligan struggled due to a shoulder injury and played in just 23 games with a .653 OPS. The most games Milligan has...
2012 Player Preview: Jaye Chapman
Jaye Chapman is a guy who I think is going to be seriously considered for a slot in the major league bullpen this spring. Chapman had a fantastic season, split between Mississippi and Gwinnett. Between the two levels, he struck out 77 while walking 31 in 68 1/3 innings. While the walk rate is a little high, it's not at the point of someone like Billy Bullock's, which is just...
Craig Kimbrel Player Projection No. 70
Key Stats: Craig Kimbrel had one of the most impressive rookie seasons in history. He led the NL with 46 saves, posted the 6th highest mark for K/9 in the history of baseball (with at least 25 IP) at 14.84 and won the NL Rookie of the Year Award. He did it with a fastball that averaged 96.2 mph and a slider, excuse me power curve the leaves batters looking stupid. Skeptics Say...

10. Zeke SpruillInjury issues. Maturity questions. There was a lot of turbulation surrounding Spruill going into 2011. What he did was nothing short of outstanding. As a 21 year-old, Spruill spent about 2/3 of his year with Lynchburg, and 1/3 with Mississippi. While a Hillcat, Spruill threw 130 innings in 22 starts, struck out 92 and walked 23. He threw a minor league-leading six...

Hanson feeling good as Spring Training nears
As the holiday season neared, Tommy Hanson did not seem overly concerned about his right shoulder. Since starting his throwing program in early January, the Braves pitcher has gained more reason to believe he will not have any limitations when Spring Training begins.
Kimbrel ready to put '11 conclusion behind him
Craig Kimbrel does not intend to rest on his laurels or dwell on the disastrous conclusion to his memorable rookie season. In fact, it does not seem like the Braves' closer has much interest in thinking about what happened last year.
Braves' Jones healthy, set for 18th year (AP)
One year has made a big difference in Chipper Jones' outlook. Jones is feeling optimistic about his health as he moves closer to his 18th season with the Braves. Despite two knee surgeries in the last two years, the last link to the Braves' 1995 World Series championship is not ready to talk about ending his career.
