Your browser does not support iframes. Atlanta Braves pitcher Kris Medlen got his first career stolen base during Wednesday night's game at Turner Field against the New York Mets. It came with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning as Mets relief pitcher Carlos Torres clearly wasn't paying attention to him. Medlen got a jump of at least three steps before Torres began his windup for the pitch to home plate, making it an easy stolen base. Now there's an accomplishment that most pitchers don't have on their resume. Medlen also pitched seven innings and got the win in the 5-3 Braves victory. Video via MLB. Atlanta Braves announcer Joe Simpson was calling the game between the Braves and New York Mets when Mets pitcher

After his walk-off home run early Tuesday morning, in a game that was rain delayed until eleven o’clock, Atlanta Braves’ first baseman Freddie Freeman said in his interview that he and several teammates would be spending the night at Turner Field. Another "June Swoon" For the Atlanta Braves? Maybe Not

Brothers B.J. and Justin Upton collide in a June 18 game at Turner Field Writers note: Just as I was about to click "publish" on this column, Chris Johnson belts a 3-run homer off of Mets pitcher Shaun Marcum. So, there's that. In a number of recent seasons, the month of June has not been kind to the Atlanta Braves. In fact, since 2004, the Braves have only had a...

Closer Look at Closers: Aroldis Chapman and Craig Kimbrel

When people talk about young, hard-throwing closers, the first names in their heads are Aroldis Chapman of the Cincinnati Reds, and Craig Kimbrel of the Atlanta Braves. These two have come in over the last couple of years and taken over as two of baseball’s most dominant closers, with Kimbrel taking away the rookie saves record in 2011 away from Texas Rangers closer-turned...

That's awesome. Finally, let's win in Milwaukee, boys. I would like to hear zero stories about the spooks in the Pfister hotel and see more of this: Freddie Freeman #5 of the...
