Found July 22, 2013 on Atlanta Bullpen:
The Atlanta Braves have placed starter Paul Maholm on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to July 21 due to a left wrist contusion. Maholm left Saturday’s game against the White Sox in the fourth inning. Rookie Alex Wood will start Thursday’s game against the Mets in Maholm’s place. Wood pitched five effective innings last Thursday night for the Gwinnett Braves, giving up one run on five hits. This seems to indicate that Brandon Beachy will probably make at least one more minor league rehab start. The post Braves Place Maholm on Disabled List appeared first on Atlanta Bullpen.
