ATLANTA -- Hampered by vision problems for most of the season, Dan Uggla has finally opted for Lasik eye surgery. The Braves announced before Tuesday's game against the Phillies that the second basemen would be placed on the disabled list and following the procedure could be out until September. No date has been set for the surgery. "It was a mutual decision," Uggla said. "Obviously I don't want to go on the DL whatsoever, but at the same time we've got to do what's best for the team right now. Tyler Pastornicky was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett and is starting against Philadelphia. Diagnosed with an Astigmatism in the spring, Uggla didn't consider having surgery then, saying "Until I'm going to be physically affected by it myself, I'm not going to believe it."
