Toronto Blue Jays third baseman, Brett Lawrie, is the latest baseball player to promote the new team-themed offerings from Victoria’s Secret PINK. Yesterday he joined model, Elsa Hosk at the Eaton Centre, a shopping mall in Toronto. The appearance was meant to help launch the 2012 VS PINK and MLB co-branded collection of female fan gear. The Blue Jays are among the new teams added to the roster this year, and now all 30 squads are represented in the line of tees, hoodies, sweats, underwear and accessories.
Similar to Miami Marlins outfielder, Logan Morrison, who had unveiled the new VS PINK Marlins gear a few weeks ago, Lawrie was presented with a pink studded baseball bat. According to The Globe and Mail, Lawrie took a few practice swings and promised to bring the bat to the Blue Jays’ clubhouse last night, believing it might bring the team good luck in their game against Yu Darvish. Lawrie also took time to meet fans and engaged in a Q&A with Hosk, where the two interviewed one another.
“This is a good chance to promote Major League Baseball. They’re with 30 clubs now and supporting some nice gear, I must say so myself,” Lawrie said in an interview.
