D-backs' Bauer struggles, Corbin impresses

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Trevor Bauer was unable to do quite his full pregame routine his long-toss warmup did not extend from foul pole to foul pole, for one thing and he had his roughest outing of the spring Wednesday. Bauer gave up six hits and two runs to the San Francisco Giants in three innings, one fewer than the D-backs had hoped to see. He struck out two and did not walk a...

A surprise no more, Arizona looks to contend again

A year ago, the Arizona Diamondbacks were baseball's surprise team, going from worst to first to win the NL West. This year, the surprise will be if they aren't contenders again. A strong young rotation, vastly improved bullpen and a gritty style that led to a major league-best 48 come-from-behind wins propelled the Diamondbacks to the division title and a near-miss in...

Diamondbacks’ Adam Eaton received over $120,000 in checks that were intended for former Phillies pitcher Adam Eaton

Sometimes baseball players make so much money that even the people delivering the checks don’t know what to do with them. At age 23, Diamondbacks outfield prospect Adam Eaton is not yet raking in the big bucks — by baseball standards of course. Since he has yet to play beyond Double-A, you can understand why Eaton was surprised when he received an envelope from the MLB Players...

Finding Keepers: Arizona Diamondbacks

Pitching Duel in the Desert Ends in Tie

When the Brewers and Diamondbacks get together it's becoming commonplace to expect a competitive and close game, but this one was a bit ridiculous as they managed a 0-0 tie in front of a Salt River Fields record setting crowd of 12,579 fans.  While listening to the game it was clear there were plenty of Brewers fans in attendance and I dare say they may have outnumbered, or...
