The Milwaukee Brewers activated second baseman Rickie Weeks from the 15-day disabled list prior to Thursday's game against Philadelphia.
Weeks has been sidelined since July 27 because of a severely sprained ankle. He is expected to be eased back into the Brewers' lineup.
Weeks, the NL's starter in the All-Star Game, is batting .272 with 19 homers and 43 games in 104 games. Jerry Hairston has filled in during his absence.
The Brewers entered Thursday's play with an 8.5-game lead over St. Louis in the NL Central.
