Tyler Thornburg, a top prospect for the Brewers coming into this season, picked up his first major-league victory by throwing two scoreless innings of relief Saturday night.
He was rewarded after the game with a plane ticket back to the minors.
Jean Segura homered and Jonathan Lucroy hit a tiebreaking RBI double in the sixth inning, lifting the Brewers to a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
''I'm happy to get my first win, not happy to go down,'' Thornburg said after being told he was being optioned to Triple-A Nashville after a four-day stint with the Brewers.
Reliever Jim Henderson, who was the team's closer when he was placed on the disabled list with a right hamstring injury on May 25, will be activated for Sunday's game.
''I kind of figured it was coming,'' Thornburg said. ''I knew a move had to be made, especially with the off-days coming up. You don't really need a long guy in there.''
