Chicago White Sox prospect Scott Snodgress' first trip to major league camp may be brief but it's also been fruitful. Snodgress made his first and likely only start of the spring Thursday, throwing three solid innings in a 4-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. ''It's been an awesome experience. It's really a dream come true,'' said Snodgress, who was drafted in the fifth round by the White Sox in 2011 and has become one of the franchise's top 10 prospects. ''I've learned a lot and talked to a lot of guys who have played a long time. It's been a great experience.'' Snodgress allowed two hits, including Khris Davis' two-run homer in the second inning, walked a batter and struck out one in his second appearance. The lanky left-hander had thrown a scoreless inning of relief against the Los Angeles Dodgers. ''It felt a lot more comfortable for me,'' said Snodgress, who was 7-3 across 141 innings for two Sin...

Player Profile #54: Alejandro De Aza | OF | CHW

Alejandro De Aza was my unanimous sleeper target last year. In every mock draft I did, every actual team I drafted, and every “your fantasy time can’t exist without these players” piece I wrote, De Aza was there. He certainly didn’t disappoint. For the price of a 200-something pick, De Aza delivered top-100 numbers. Given his role as a speed-first leadoff hitter, his nine...

Even though he was effective, Chris Sale wasn't comfortable. In his first spring training appearance of the year, the 17-game winner struck out three over 2 1-3 scoreless innings Friday as the Chicago White Sox lost to the Cleveland Indians 9-7. Sale gave up a one-out single to Lou Marson and a walk to Mark Reynolds before getting Carlos Santana to hit into a forceout and retiring...
