In the annals of baseball history, there have been some pretty stupid injuries but this one by Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Chris Narveson might take the cake with this one. Recently, Narveson was placed on the disabled list after he injured himself using a pair of scissors: Narveson was fiddling with his glove with a pair of scissors when the scissors somehow slipped and sliced his left thumb. That would be the thumb on his pitching hand. Eight stitches were needed to close the wound, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said. "I guess the screw on the end (of the glove) between the scissors was sticking through the bolt a little bit, I had my thumb up there and ran it across. Next thing, I look down and I've got a gash in my thumb," Narveson tried to explain. Well, at least he wasn't running with them. (Courtesy of The Sporting News)
