First, let me apologize for being a day late on getting these out for this week…an extended weekend camping was actually a nice change of pace considering I missed all 4-loses!!!
***NOTE: The number in parenthesis is change from last week***
#1: OF Ryan Braun (-) – Braun continues to do what he does. .308 average, 26 Homers (leads NL) and 66 RBI (5th in NL)
#2: 3B Aramis Ramirez (+1) – Ramirez has been a huge help behind Braun. .279 on the season but .316 since June 1st
#3: SP Zack Greinke (-1) – Will tonight be his last start in Milwaukee? And not pitching in the “9-game stretch” was just bunk…
#4:SP Yovani Gallardo (-) – A rough first inning Saturday was the difference for him jumping ahead of Zack without Zack being traded
#5: 1B Corey Hart (-) – A big St. Louis series (3-hits, 4-RBI) was followed be a quiet Cincy weekend (2-hits, 0-RBI)
#6: SP Michael Fiers (+1) –His 1.96 ERA would put him in ROY conversation if his name was Bryce Harper or Mike Trout…
#7: OF Norichika Aoki (-1) – after his solid streak, Aoki finds himself hitting just .179 in his last 10-games
#8: SP Marco Estrada (+1) – 3-runs in 7-innings should give you a win…unless you play for the Brewers and get A.) no offense or B.) bullpenned (yup, new phrase)
#9: C Martin Maldonado (+1) – Maldanado is batting .382 in his last 10-games…Thursday Lucroy comes back…what to do?
#10: RP Manny Parra (+2) – 9-straight appearances and 7 2/3 innings without an earned run. Parra is (right now) the most reliable reliever
#11: SP Randy Wolf (+5) – First win since April 30th on Tuesday….should have been a 2-win week but Wolf was BULLPENNED!
#11: RP Francisco Rodriguez (-4) – yikes! 2 of 3 as a closer with one of the saves being an adventure. Monday was just horrendous
#13: CL John Axford (-) – His demotion may have saved his career, either he found a new role OR will come back (soon) as good as before
#14: 2B Rickie Weeks (-3) - He was at .200…but has gone 1 of 17 since…back to early season Rickie
#15: RP Kameron Loe (-) – not clean by any means but he got through the week without giving up a run
#16: IF Cesar Izturis (+1) – Looks like Roenicke is leaning towards him on a daily basis, had a 6-game hitting streak snapped Monday
#17: IF Cody Ransom (-3) – Goes 0-for-8 in a week after he had a big game-winning Grand Slam against the Pirates
#18: OF Carlos Gomez (+1) – An eruption Monday with a big blast of of Roy Hallady…though that is all he has done the last week
#19: RP Jose Veras (-2) – Saturday’s poor performance chased away any belief that he was starting to find his groove
#20: OF Nyjer Morgan (-) – T-Plush is to the Brewers what Linsanity was to New York, SHORT LIVED!
#21: IF/OF Travis Ishikawa (-) – 2 for 3 Saturday keeps ahead of the rest of the bottom dwellers
#22: RP Tyler Thornburg (+1) – Alright in a spot start for Greinke last Wednesday…all 8-runs he has allowed have come on 7-homers
#23: C George Kottaras (-1) – Just 2-hits since June 20th
#24: RP Livan Hernandez (+1) – WE HAVE A SIGHTING! 1-scoreless inning for Livan Saturday, his first outing since July 7th
#25: IF Jeff Bianchi (-1) – Now 0 for 11 and still looking for his first MLB hit
TEAMS: Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Angels
